Blood Phlegm From Nosebleed

The houses Sumerian

The people of Sumer is the one that is credited with having built the first houses: they are, in fact, who invented the brick as we know it today .
The territory they occupied ( Mesopotamia, between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates ) offered plenty of clay and it is this material that the Sumerians made the first bricks, originally cooked in the sun and then in furnace .
rose so beautiful cities that developed around the royal palaces, stately buildings adorned with colossal statues.
These buildings were in turn topped by a temple tower, the ziggurat .
All the 'architecture was based on Sumerian clay bricks held together by bitumen. Unfortunately, the clay deteriorates rapidly and it is for this reason that few buildings extant Sumerian.
The poor housing were rectangular and had a single room.
richer had an open-air courtyard on which opened several rooms of irregular shape.
In other houses there was a staircase leading upstairs and the wooden balcony surrounding the courtyard. The windows were scarce because the problem was not to give light to the rooms, but to defend themselves from the sun: they were small and square. The roof terrace and were served to the residents to sleep in most days calde.
