The maps are a powerful tool for the study, since elementary school.
They can be used for an initial hearing on an issue (brainstorming) and a means to reconstruct a study already made.
activity preparatory to the construction of conceptual maps consists of the completion of simple maps drawn from key ideas expressed in the text and identified by the students.

In later I asked them to verbalize the argument "with the help" of the map, in order to recognize and appreciate its usefulness.
